Captain Brown was the most decorated pilot of the British Fleet Air Arm and holder of three absolute Guinness World Records. These include the highest number of deck landings (2,407) and types of aircraft flown (487).
One of the world's most accomplished test pilots some of Eric's other notable achievements include the first ever aircraft landing of a multi-engine aircraft and first ever aircraft carrier landing of a jet aircraft.
One of Eric's favourite aircraft types was the deHavilland Sea Hornet (DH 103) for which he conducted the deck landing trials on HMS Ocean in July 1945.
