Defiant NF Mk1 T-Shirt
307 (City of Lwów) Polish Night Fighter Squadron was formed in August 1940 flying the Boulton Paul Defiant turret-fighter.
The squadron’s nickname was Lwówskie Puchacze (Lwów Eagle Owls). The Eagle Owl is a Polish avian night predator.
The Defiant’s lack of forward firing guns initially made it vulnerable in daylight combat. However, in skilled Polish hands it was more successful as a nightfighter.
